Lufthansa's latest ambitious scheme to expand has resulted in a protest which was based on wage dispute. The airline aimed to cut down jobs by 2015. On Monday, they have cancelled most of their flights and it was reported that only several German airports were at stake. Losses were estimated up to €20 million.
You may want to avoid booking Lufthansa for these few days. It seems that they keep having strikes and protests that it is normalized into a culture now. One question, how would this negatively affect their careers when they apply for a position in another airline company? Would they be deemed as the rebels and troublemakers, hence a minus point? I see this as a business decision that might propel Lufthansa to a better direction but let's just hope they all reach a settlement and travelers could fly with Lufthansa with ease.
