A Tourist's Guide: Where to claim your 7% Government Service Tax (GST) in Changi Airport?

I was in the Changi Airport, wandering around and I realised there were a lot of 'GST Refund' signages. And there it was... The GST Refund counter! It was about 9 pm and there was nobody queuing up for a GST refund.

No queue. Fast transactions! Great!

The GST Refund counter is just right next to the Charles & Keith store, opposite Bally.

The Tourist Refund Scheme enables tourists to claim back the GST paid on goods purchased from participating stores. From the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore official home page, it is stated that it is only applicable for tourists to get the refund within two months from the date of purchase (T&C applies). There is another way: the Electronic Tourist Refund Scheme. It was introduced last year for the convenience of tourists to obtain the GST refund and this can be done in the participating stores.
